I am now on my second fitbit, my first one served me well for nearly two years with constant use, oh and I do mean constant.... if you have ever worn one of these you will know how addictive they become.
It starts to be second nature to make sure you are wearing it, a bit like your underwear lol!!!
Actually you start to get this sort of reflex action where you keep touching your bra to make sure its still there!
I started off wearing it in bed as well, bit like your kids when they get new shoes and don't want to take them off! Ok so maybe yours didn't .... but mine did and honestly other folk have said their kids did it too!!
Anyway back to my friend the fitbit...... It tracks your steps.....yeh you know that...it also counts how many flights of stairs you climb........
You get badges when you reach so many flights..... my last one was the cloud badge for 8000 floors .... checking my achievement to date though I have done 11,954 in total and I am well on my way to the last badge for 14,000 floors.... lets hope they add more soon!
here is a snapshot of the badges I have achieved, in brackets it's the number of times you have got the badge.
It also tracks the distance you have travelled..... and when you go onto your computer you can check best days, lifetime statistics etc etc so for someone like me that loves statistics its brilliant.
and it records your calories burned...
You can also add friends and compete to see who is ranking highest for steps for the week! For someone that likes to win this is an added incentive.
I strongly recommend you purchase one of these if you want to keep yourself motivated to increase your activity and get healthier.
I have mine linked to the myfitnesspal app on my phone which I will tell you about tomorrow.
